Night Care

Night care

At Holyport Healthcare, we offer overnight care to help you or your loved one sleep soundly through the night. Our dedicated team works through the night, so you can feel well-supported and cared for at any time.

Sleeping Night

Our care assistant sleeps at your property for a minimum of eight hours and is on hand if required. This option is suitable if you don’t require regular support, but feel uncomfortable when left alone throughout the night. Our sleeping night care professional can help alleviate anxieties and sleep deprivation, ensuring you remain healthy and happy. If assistance is needed more than twice during the night, this will be considered a waking night.

Waking Night

Our care professional is on duty throughout the night for a minimum of eight hours. This is the best support option if you or your loved one wakes several times, perhaps being disoriented or needing to go to the bathroom. If you wake at regular intervals during the night to change position due to injury or need to administer medication at regular intervals, this is likely to be the best choice for you.

Our waking night care professional is there at your side as and when you need them for the duration of the night, providing a high level of expert support. At Holyport Healthcare, we understand the importance of a good night’s sleep and are here to help.

Pet Care Friendly Services

Pet Care Friendly Services

At Holyport Healthcare, we understand that pets can be a crucial part of our customers’ lives, particularly for those who require domiciliary care and support, and especially for those who are less mobile or isolated. Studies have shown that the emotional bond between humans and animals brings significant emotional and social benefits, providing purpose, routine, and consistency to many people’s lives. Pets offer companionship and support and can help reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety, especially during times of grief. The act of touching and stroking a pet can have a calming and relaxing effect, even producing physiological effects such as lowering blood pressure.

As part of our domiciliary care service, we recognize the importance of pets and will do our best to match you with a care assistant who understands and enjoys being around animals. We believe that you should be able to share the pleasure of your special pet with your care assistant, creating a positive and comfortable environment for everyone involved.

We encourage and support our customers to engage in simple, healthy activities that they enjoy, such as walking or dancing. Our care assistants are trained to discuss our customer’s preferences and abilities to develop a personalized care and support plan that suits their needs.

Respite care

Respite Care

When you need a break from caring, or are looking for short-term care, Holyport Healthcare is here to help.

Respite care means having a break from caring

What is Respite Care? Respite care is usually a short-term package of care from someone who isn’t your loved one’s regular carer. Respite care from Holyport Healthcare would take place in their own home and allow you, as their usual carer, time to rest and take care of yourself so you are better able to take care of them.

At Holyport Healthcare we understand that for you to provide the very best care to your loved one, you also need to take good care of yourself. Time to rest and recharge is essential, as is having someone you can trust look after your loved one. Our reliable, compassionate care assistants are fully trained, giving you the peace of mind you need to take that much needed break.

How can respite care help me? By having a trusted care assistant support your loved one you will have that much-needed time to take care of yourself. You can tend to your personal errands, have some time out of the house and recharge your batteries both mentally and physically. This added support can help you take care of yourself, meaning you can take better care of your loved one.

Short breaks can be of great benefit to not just yourself, but also the person you care for. They offer the opportunity to do something a bit different and the chance to meet new people.

Benefits of respite care There are multiple benefits, not only for yourself but your loved one as well:

Reduced levels of stress for both you and your loved one, help to maintain a healthy relationship. Relieved frustrations and possible feelings of resentment. More time for you to interact with family and friends or the wider community. Provides you with the opportunity to work, study, have a day-off, or even go on holiday. Your loved one could benefit from interacting with other carers, new stimuli, and a possible change to their usual routine. Types of Respite Care Our Respite Care service is flexible and is tailored to your individual needs. Our care options include:

Short-term packages – for example if you are looking to take a holiday Longer-term regular visits – allowing you to take a regular break to rest and recharge such as a daily or weekly visit If you’re looking at more regular support, we are trained to support and care for individuals with more complex needs in the comfort of their own homes.
